  1. b) Secure Escrow Payments

All payments made on BuyKenya.biz:

  • Are processed via secure channels (M-Pesa, Visa, Mastercard)
  • Are held in a secure escrow wallet after checkout
  • Are only released to the seller after delivery is confirmed

This ensures:

  • Buyers do not lose money for undelivered goods
  • Sellers are guaranteed payment after successful delivery

  1. c) Structured Delivery Process

  • Orders are picked directly from seller locations
  • No warehouse dependency (reduces delays and handling risks)
  • Delivery timelines:
    • Nairobi: within 24 hours
    • Nationwide: 48–72 hours

  1. Order Completion & Payment Release

A transaction is considered complete when:

  • The customer confirms delivery (via OTP or proof), OR
  • No dispute is raised within the allowed timeframe

Once confirmed:

  • Escrow funds are released to the seller
  • The transaction becomes final

  1. Fraud Prevention & Monitoring

BuyKenya actively monitors transactions to prevent fraud and abuse.

We reserve the right to:

  • Investigate suspicious activities
  • Delay or hold payments under review
  • Suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent behavior

  1. Seller Responsibilities

All sellers must:

  • Deliver products as described
  • Fulfill orders within agreed timelines
  • Ensure proper packaging and product quality

Failure to comply may result in:

  • Account suspension
  • Financial penalties
  • Removal from the platform

  1. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate delivery information
  • Verifying orders upon delivery
  • Reporting issues within the allowed timeframe
